Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Waze will automatically shut down if you run it in the background and haven't driven for a while.

Railroads should now be displayed on the map (YES!)
Improvements to the GPS connectivity, including smoother transitions when moving from one country to another (for example, from the US to Mexico and vice-versa).
This will be available from tomorrow only - ​The 'Notifications' menu in Settings now gives the user the option to customize which types of notifications will be received, such as local updates, natural disasters, fun announcements, major traffic events and more.

Fixed an issue on Android M that caused UI distortions on AutoComplete and search windows in some device types.
